Meet Our Therapist

 Meet Our Therapist

Hey! Welcome to Wednesday! And what does Wednesday stand forrr? Exactly, my fellow readers  it’s our time to tune into waves! Before I tell you what I’m going to talk about today, I’d like to start with a story.

After finishing my test in college, I was waiting for the results to come out. Yeahhh, it was really exhausting and tiring as well. My friend was sitting beside me, and accidentally I saw her lock screen. It said, “I have a therapist and that is music.” If I’m quoting it right? (Friend, do correct me if I’m wrong!) And that’s how I got the title for this blog: “Meet Our Therapist!”

Well, do you know who earns better than a therapist? Drum rolls... a music composer! Just kidding  therapists do earn well, but it’s true though! Music has the ability to cure the same problems a therapist does  mental health struggles.

In today’s world, where everything is spinning so fast and we’re all running like rats on a wheel, we need a break! And here it is  music is our break.

You know how music acts like a therapist? Well, does it give us solutions to our problems? Certainly not. But this therapist can empathize with us  it knows how we feel without asking a single question. Sometimes, we just need a shoulder to lean on, and that shoulder is music.

Music doesn’t ask questions .it feels us. It carries our emotions, our excitement, and even our idle thoughts. And behind this magic are songwriters and music composers ,true magicians who weave emotions into sound.

Take a musical note: do re mi fa so la ti do in Western classical music or sa ri ga ma pa da ni sa in Carnatic music. Each note carries an emotion. Repeating the same note in different places creates a completely different vibe. Even playing a single note at a higher or lower pitch transforms the feeling.

And so, my friends, when these notes come together, they form a melody a tapestry of sound that brings out a whole new world of emotions.

Music can be played anywhere  even in a dentist’s clinic! It has the power to calm our minds when we’re stressed. As a student, I honestly couldn’t live without music, not even for a single day. Music can even save the life of someone battling depression. Truly, music can do wonders!

I’m curious to know — do you have a song that makes you happy? A song that feels like your very own therapist? 🎵 If yes, let me know! I’d love to hear about the music that heals you.
